Hello All,
I wish everyone luck on their journey, there are no guarantees while applying and going through the academy. Stay positive as there’s still many hurdles but not impossible. The hardest part of is getting hired and getting through the training.

I believe bigger agencies have more resources and man power to process applications. I applied for the FBI to see and understand the process. I applied 2 days ago and today I was invited to take the phase 1 exam. I think it’s not the same here with CID because they are still working out the kinks...

Well,
even if we get referred, it’s not a guarantee that we will be offered anything. All it really means is that it was sent to the hiring manager and they will still comb through the pile of referred applicants.

I have been referred for other agencies for their 1811-GS13 as well. Just seeing who will provide a good location...

Yes, I know the feeling. I left Active Duty with 17 years as a 1SG, then accepting a Federal Law Enforcement right at 37 (the cut off). I received my first paycheck in the academy and had to call the wife to fallback on the usual spending. It’s tough, It was like a GS-7 equivalent pay when I was in...

Thanks for sharing this. That’s good news as taking any pay cut will come with a great deal of planning. I remember going through FLETC and Phase 2 of our agency training was roughly 6 months all together and that first paycheck hit me hard. Lucky I had some cushion to get us through training and...

Greetings,
Would anyone be inclined to share information on LEAP and or Locality pay while attending CITP? This would help me and others that meet the requirements for the position but still need to attend CITP. Any information would greatly appreciated. I know a few other agencies pay...
