If you never received the “your eligible” email from the posting you applied for- this might be it. That happens quite often. Sometimes the interview comes before the USAJobs notification.

Nope. Didn’t get the EOD until after background was done.
At the moment, they seem to be moving rather quickly and the background investigators have been given deadlines as of recent. As you probably know, depending on the info on your SF-86 (jobs, multiple addresses, foreign contacts, etc)...
