Your status us only with the city. You will need to get it done again with NYSDOCCS. Most likely you will goto the same academy as corrections and probation officers since they fall under NYSDOCCS. Good luck

At DOCCS we barley ran. Most of the time it was push-ups and jumping Jack's. When we did rum it was 2 to 4 miles a week. By week 10 we were running almost 10miles within an hour.

There is no exam. Only the psychological exam and medical exam. I didn' have to take a written exam.

Try NYSDOCCS or CUNY PD, SUNY PD. You will have to pay upto 2500 on legal fees and psychology fess. It's not worth it. Goto another agency....

The Academy is simple. Follow orders. Practice your marching. Left face, right face, about face. Make sure your boots are shined enough you can see your reflection. Use Kiwi high gloss shine. No, it is still the same. They offered me a spot to take the exam and told me even though I'm with DOCCS I still have to remove my tattoo because its viewable when I wear short sleeves. Smh.... oh well. I tried....
