    Lateral pay is based on years of service as a police officer. It does not include academy and field training. Agency size determines time credited (this is outlined on our website).     -Academy length- Currently 27 weeks (this is mostly days with weekends off), the State is putting out a new curriculum which should be in place for the next academy so the length will probably change.(will probably add a week or two, not really sure because...

When we test in June, you would still be in front of all of the people who test in June, regardless of their score. We have been completely full once that I can...

    Currently we have 3 openings. Tests for the rest of the year will be for our next class, which is not yet scheduled. It will likely be Jan. or Feb. next year. We have some retirements coming up, but none have made official notification. An educated guess for the class next year would be 5 to 8 recruits...
