I took the Wisconsin Personnel Partners Law Enforcement Sergeant Exam recently. Are a lot of agencies in Wisconsin using this company for testing?

    Wisconsin Law Enforcement Reciprocity Exam

I just wanted to pass along to anybody considering taking the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Reciprocity Exam, there is a limit to the number of folks that can take it each session. I was approved back in December 2018. However, I had not scheduled the exam yet because I wasn't in the process with any agencies....

  • JohnKelly, do you have the whole political correctness issue there or is that exclusive to the United States?

  • In order to answer that, I would need to know what exactly the jury member(s) mean when they refer to "US police culture". The chances are, they really mean "Minneapolis Police culture" since this incident happened in Minneapolis MN. Still, I would need to know exactly what they...

  • Ride Along Request While Applying For An Agency

In the past, at least in my neck of the woods, it was fairly common for agency applicants to request a ride along. It showed the agency that the applicant is interested and gave an opportunity, away from the interview process, to get to know each other. I know that things can and do change over time....

Wow. All I can say is good luck getting all of the answers you are seeking. What you should know is that your questions are pretty subjective. Salary is pretty quantifier. Things like job satisfaction, etc. are going to be all over the board. Some may actually be diametrically opposed to other things....

I would encourage you to prepare and submit the Law Enforcement Reciprocity Exam Application Packet soon-ish. I don't think it costs anything to apply and it does take a bit for them to verify everything. Also, my understanding is that they give the exam the third Thursday of every month, if that helps...

I can't answer your first question and with regard to the second question, it will depend on how long it has been since you have done cop work.

Are you currently performing licensed, armed, sworn cop work? If not, how long has it been? If it is less than three years since you did cop work,...

  • It will likely be discussed, at some point, so be prepared for that. I jumped from a PD to an SO after 10 + at the PD. For me, my outlook was to eventually make it to day shift and spend the remainder of my working life on patrol. At the SO I went to, there was a lot more variety, court security, prisoner...

Yes, I have dealt with that during my career.

I would tell the Chief, so he knows what might be coming.

After that, you let the guy vent. I wouldn't do anything more. They should be grateful that nobody is being charged....
