A lot of us are from out here, and we can't wait to leave this state. Pretty much morale and stuff differ from department to department. At LASD, there is a lot of internal problems that could be better. LASD will not accept your out of state certification, they do not accept the CA POST waiver either,...Last edited by cruz0311; 04-04-2018, 04:02 PM.

Do what you will. But please don't say you weren't warned. Many departments accept CA POST waiver many don't and require you to attend their academy. You have to the check on that. Me personally I can't wait to retire and leave this place.

"Applicants who's height falls between any of the measurements shown on the table must meet the weight requirements of the lower height"
That's straight from the form you acknowledged when you applied.Last edited by cruz0311; 03-23-2018, 01:49 AM.

I would highly recommend to try to cut the weight, doesn't sound like your too over the weight limit. The county is sticklers for that whole weight thing when trying to get hired....
