Yea Nassau corrections even removed the written test section they are so desperate. Suffolk corrections is going to move fast also they have to anticipate losing more people to retirement and to the Suffolk county PD test that is this month on the 17th

Awesome I took NYC deputy sheriff also the pay scale at Nassau corrections compared to Suffolk is dramatically different now Nassau keeps you at the 37,000 base for 18 months then they keep you at 42,000 for another 18 months which is rough Suffolk corrections your at 65,000 after 3 years

I've heard they make there own schedule they have to meet the 40 hours per week and justify what they are doing and work from home in downstate NY

100% agree lol but Suffolk county corrections at top pay now is a lot higher than Nassau corrections. Nassau corrections does not use cooper standard at least but top for them is 98k and they have been off a contract forever. Suffolk corrections top pay now is 124k and there contract is up Jan 2024....

Anyone in the NY area doing the expedited processing day in June? They are doing the written exam the PEB & forms review all in one shot...

I realized my score letter was also the canvass letter my list number is 4 and yes I did background drug test for Nassau corrections but haven't heard anything since. Also in the midst of the process for SUNY police and MTA just scheduled my PT test in a few weeks.

I believe academy is 3 months long not sure what its like though

I am also Prior NYPD & Military so idk if they maybe processing the people who would be laterals first

Yea June 10th is the first round of people for the PT test and I definitely wasn't anticipating that quick of a response.
