  • Looking for good eats in Vegas

Any recommendations from local folks on restaurants you like in Vegas?

I'm going in a couple of weeks to set up computers at a convention, staying 5days at the strip. I believe I'm allowed up to $75 to spend for dinner per night on the company card, no receipts required. This isn't per diem, so I gotta make the most of it.

I'm pretty flexible with cuisine as long as the stuff wasn't offered on the show Fear Factor, bleeding or fermented and hid underground (how can such godawful smell be appetizing), I'll try it...hehe.

There is a restaurant in the Mirage, ground level...has a "jungle" like theme to it (you'll know it when you see it. For the life of me I can not remember the name.

Anyways, the food is AWESOME! The girls running around (like everywhere in vegas) are way hot.

There is a top-notch restaurant on top of the venetian. Their food (while pricey) is phenominal as well...

Names should be easy to find via google. Those are my two favorites (I only go twice a year, honest). Vegas is awesome, I'd work out there in a second if hired...have fun!

Rule Of Thumb: If it's at the top of a casino, it won't be cheap but it'll be delicious. That's where to go if you're looking for good food in Vegas.

Are you looking to eat on the strip, or off it? Most hotels have a high end restaurants that would easily be more than $75.00. Smith & Wollensky is a nice steak house just north of the MGM Grand. Hell, I would stay in and order room service to avoid the crowd inside the hotels..

If you're looking for a buffet, I'm kinda partial to the Rio and the Mirage.

It's been a couple of years since I went to Vegas, but I couldn't say enough good things about the Golden Steer Steakhouse on W Sahara Ave. And the Top of the World at the Stratosphere. Not really somewhere you'd go if you just wanted a burger, but the meal is as good as the view.
I'm a little bit waayy, a little bit wooah, a little bit woosh, I'm a geezer.

I was just there and ate at a restaurant in the Bellagio, but I can not remember the name of it. It overlooked the "lake" outside and the food was awesome. Wine selection was pretty good as well. It was a little pricey, but well worth it.

The conference is always on the strip. Here are some places I've tried there
                - Smith and Wollensky
                - Top of the World at the Stratosphere
                - Buffet at the Rio
                - Sushi restaurant at the Venetian (2 pcs. of Nigiri cost like $40 wow)
                - Pure Nightclub
                - Tangerine Nightclub
                - some Italian restaurant @ Caesars Palace

I guess I'm looking for places to get away from my co-workers and bosses at the end of the day. I can stand them only for 8 hours. LOL We will have one of those company dinners one night but the other nights, I wanna try good food in peace without having to talk about work, away from the convention location.

Bellagio, yeah, I haven't eaten there, good one.

                Traffic_82, JBean is a girl.

Whoa, you remembered. Yeah, my birthday is June 9th. I'm going skydiving for my birthday . I must go to bed now (dayshift...meh), but we'll talk again.
