  • Dating Part 2 ....

So you are back on the market or at least getting ready to get back out there. Maybe you just ended a relationship or just finally decided to move on. How do you get started and what is the best way to weed out the losers? Do you trust online dating or do you feel like its just a feeding ground for badge bunnies and sex starved weirdos.

Find a hobby that you have in common. Whatever you have "a fire in your belly" for. My wife and I met through amateur radio.

We had the horse hobby that we shared for years. It has now evolved to both of us liking to ride ATVs. (I still have my horse, though!)

My wife and I met online almost 20 years ago... so, yes it is a feeding ground for losers and sex starved weirdos.

Baysidegal, try reading tanksoldier's response to you again. It seems pretty clear to me that he has already found something that he is really passionate about- his wife.

My humor can be tough to get in person, let alone by text online.

Well I just found out what 420 friendly was. I was looking at some dating profiles and saw "420 friendly". I thought it was either a sick sex thing or a number for being into Men women or whatever. I had to actually google it. Found out it has to do with Marijuana. So now I know what it means. Its funny that people can put in a profile that they don't do drugs but are open to using marijuana or being around people that do it. I think its deceptive. Doesn't really get much of the awkward deal breaking questions of of the way.

You're a police officer, and you just now found out what "420" represents?

For Dating they have all these weird codes and abbreviations. I thought it was some weird porno thing. Thank goodness for google.

I sincerely doubt that you really want advice from a guy who has been married for 50 years, has 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren (and another on the way). So I will just sit here quietly reading all the offerings of younger, slicker, handsomer, and wiser folks. Don't mind me at all, I'll just make some popcorn and crack open another beer.

I am sure everyone has something to offer. If even help with the abbreviations and codes. Its like a new language! Sometimes when you find out what some of it means you are glad you are single.

Well lets just say that if you are married or in a good relationship be grateful! There are so many weirdos and creeps out there both male and female. I am hearing that a lot of the guys are finding women that just want them to subscribe to their porn or prostitution sites.
Some of the guys seem like they are "put the lotion in the bucket" types.

Dating Profiles are funny and so popular. If you are looking to attract a woman that is not into creeps I would suggest the following:

          1. Don't pose in front of the Jail or prison you were just released from or from court when they have dismissed your charges.

          2. Don't post that you are in town for the night and looking for a lady to spend the night.

          3. Don't post that you "are so very, very, very, very, very Lonely while posing with your 50 cats"

          4. Post that you are looking for a dirty girl!

These are some of the things I have found so far. Its pretty funny.

Well, in fairness if that IS what the guy is looking for may as well post that. No point in talking about long walks by the beach if you’re looking for a one night stand...
