  • Question for pick-up truck owners

I got my first truck, a Chevy Silverado, a little over a year ago and really love it. I now have a little extra ching in my pocket and am adding some accessories.

I've been researching tonneau covers and the choices are overwhelming. I'm looking for a way to narrow down my choices.

Has anyone seen any kind of interactive online tonneau cover guide? Ideally, I'm looking for something that would allow me to enter several factors (bed length, soft vs. hard, price range, etc.) then spit out a list of models to check out.

I used similar tools to decide on other purchases before, and they really help trim the search.

    TIA for any help.

    Hi @orangebottle,

Have never heard of such a guide/tool. What similar tools have you used?
I chose a tonneau cover for my Dodge Ram from the AutoAccessoriesGarage list. Curious about any interactive online tonneau cover guide though too.

I've used these kinds of buying decision tools to help purchase vehicles and home appliances before. For example, online vehicle purchasing sites allow you to click on a variety of parameters (year, make, model, features, etc.), then show a list of available vehicles that fit those preferences.

Find a similar truck at a junk yard and buy the top. No point in spending tons of money for something new when you can get one slight used for a big discount. I have fished so many gems out of scrap yards and part outs that I cant even express how much of a deal I left with.
