  • New Pet Reptile

OK, I'm getting *another* pet snake.
Since they added the stupid reptile ban in NY *hisses at legistlators* I can't get anything big (of course I can, just not legally).
Anyways, I decided on a Trans-Pecos Ratsnake (just normal phase, if there's any herp enthusiasts here). I'd like to give it a good name, I'm leaning towards something western. Like from western movies. Or city names. I think "Houston" or "Blondie" (clint eastwood) would be good.
Here's a picture if it helps:

So anyone have good names? LE-related names are fine too lol
I'm not sure of the gender of the snake I'm going to get yet, so either are fine.
    Let's hear 'em.
Well life is too short so love the one ya got cuz ya might get run over or ya might get shot.

What's the point of naming something that can't even hear the sound of your voice?
No longer ignoring anybody here, since that psycho known as "Josey Wales" finally got the boot after being outed as a LE imposter by B&G978. Nice job.

Glad to see I'm not the only reptile lover on this site !!!

Hmmmm...snake name.....how about "precious?" It lures people into a false sense of security...." Do you want to see my pet, Precious ?"

I used to breed Standing's Day Geckos (Madagascar - CITIES species.) I donated my breeding pairs to San Diego Zoo 7 years ago. I still have one Standing's that I raised from an egg, she's about 9 years old now. I also have a Green Tree Frog, Tiger Salamander, (3) Russian Tortoises and (2) Sulcata Tortoises. I've also done reptile rehab in CA for various snakes, tortoises, turtles and iguanas. I love them slimey or scaley !!!

I used to have a Veiled Chameleon named LOKI - which is the Norse God of Mischief. (great name in my opinion).

                      SWEETNESS!
I always wanted to be a herpetologist until I was like 13, and got involved in LE. My teachers squished my enthusiasm. I've done a lot of work with reptiles. I've tracked them in Ontario w/ radio telemetry, I've given presentations, research projects, a bunch of other stuff.
                      I'm a ratsnake enthusiast.
I've had a corn snake (red ratsnake), eastern everglades ratsake, and I currently have a Baird's Ratsnake named Macbeth (the other two got whacked).
I could move on to bigger things but they're the ones I love.
I think Tokay Day Geckos are kewl. I've been bitten on the face by a 6-foot ratsnake, and I've been bitten on the pressure point on my hand by a 4-inch green anole, and frankly, the anole hurt a lot more
It didn't help that it hung on and started to CHEW on me.
hahahaha it was my friend's pet he SOOOOO freaked out... he didn't have experience and didn't tell me the thing wasn't quarantined.
Well life is too short so love the one ya got cuz ya might get run over or ya might get shot.
