Youre eating too much before you go to bed ........that all it is. That or you are seeing something that triggers a hidden memory of her which is making you dream of her.
Heck, I adore my husband and my life, but wonder every now and then what my first boyfriend is up to....and what it would have been like had we been mature enough to continue our relationship past high school. He was the one I thought I truly loved for the first time, but I didnt know what real love was back then.......its a nice memory, but thats all it is. Its natural for humans to think "what if"...but it means nothing.
You are just being human and remembering a time in your life that was significant .....it doesnt mean anything.
It happened again last night. I had a dream about my ex-girlfriend and I dating again.
We went out in high school, almost 7 years ago. We dated for about 9 months and then broke up. I was single for a while and then I got involved in a realtionship with a girl. We've been together for almost 6 years now. Oh yeah, did I mention the girl I'm now dating was one of my ex's friends?
Fast forward a few years, my ex and I hated each other until my senior year of high school. That year we had a class together and we were friends again (and that's it). After we graduated I haven't seen her since and only have talked to her a couple of times. The last time I talked to her was sometime last year.
So tell me, why do I keep having dreams about this woman? Usually dreams about us being romantically involved? I'd say I average a dream like this every couple of months. I dwell on it for a day and then I forget all about it. I had another dream last night but the weird part is I haven't even thought about her lately.
One obvious answer is that some part of me wants to be together with her again but that doesn't make sense. I woke up and said "Why the heck would I want to go through THAT again?"
This isn't the worst though.. I had a dream last year that we were married. It doesn't make a lick of sense to me.
OK you O.Com amateur psychologists, have at it!
Well, my mother is a professional psychologist...... So, she says that because of so,e traumatic or even minor bad experience in the relationship, you may feel as if you need to fix it or find some reconcile with her.
I have three girlfriends that haunt my dreams!!! The hotest one, the lesbian, and prefect girl... I just need to find away to dream about they all at the same time!!!! What a good time that would be!!!
well if it makes you feel better I had/have the same problem. I cared for the girl .. dated for 2 years and she was a beotch .. like you said .. we talk every know and then and thats it. Shes engaged and Im happy with my current 4 yr girl. Ive have been told and also heard though it has nothing to do with the person. I heard it has to do with us being happy with the current person we are with. Obviously we broke up with the other girl and our happy know so it may be just a reasurance of how good things are now .. who knows haha
There are a few questions I would ask such as what was happening when these first started and what are your thoughts just after waking?
*lies back on big black chair*
I couldn't pin point when the dreams started, but if I had to guess, probably when I started college. As I said, they usually don't affect me in the long term.
I felt like my thoughts DURING the dream were...what the heck is this all about? That was pretty much the same thing when I woke up.
It probably doesn't mean anything.... Maybe something inside you made ya think about her for a quick second (just thinking w/ no agenda)... also considering you're dating one of her friends or old friends, that automatically kind of links her to your relationship.
I've learned that dreams don't mean $hit. haha. No matter what anybody says or tries to interpret the dreams, they don't mean anything!
Hope that helps...
