Then I'm good to go. Most likely, unless there's some weird CA laws. I've never held a real gun before. Would it be weird to just go up there and start shooting without knowing anything about it?Comment

Go to a range that will allow you to rent guns and have someone that works there show you the basics. If they won't do that, go to a range that will.Comment
