  • $ 3.07

Just drove by one of the gas stations that gas was at $2.88
On the way back the sign said $3.07 for unleaded

Just checked CNN and they had an article saying that the prices will go up even higher or they will stay at above $60 a barrel at least until the winter.

That's not really good, I hope that they prices will go down in the near future. Let's all pray for out country that God will guide us in the right direction and easy the pain of many Americans who struggle due to the outrageous gas prices.

Its all a scam, gouging should be illegal. I talk to the gas station owners in my district and they said if we actually knew how much was tax and how much was profit we would riot in the streets. He said something to the fact that when they say that is the price of oil per barrell that is like all ready refined gas price. so at $60 a barell (55 gallons) thats 1.09 a gallon. (He claims that the price reflects shipping and all) So who is getting screwed?

How many people that whine about the gas prices are smokers willing to pay $3.50 a pack? It's amazing to see people's priorities.

You're still cheaper than here. I've been paying $1.03/L for awhile now and that's actually low compared to how it was a few weeks ago. Smokes are only $3.50 a pack? Wow. They work out to $9 and something here.

I was watching the O'Riley (sp?) Factor on Fox News and he said something very interesting. All this time we have been bitching about OPEC for raising gas prices. However, he was saying for gas to be $3.00 per gallon, the price per barrel would need to be in the $90 range. Now I'm just taking his word for it but he is saying it's actually the AMERICAN companies screwing us over and taking advantage of tragedies like Katrina! Anybody have any evidence of this or is it simply media mumble jumble? I'd be curious to find out.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses....Hit it!

thats probably about right. when you got a couple oil boys in power who is going to do anything about it. there was a place in town here that was 30 cents a gal. cheaper than anywhere else...police had to come and direct traffic

I can agree with that. We're getting the shaft every which way possible, no doubt about it. What's even worse is gas stations up the price on the gas when speculation arises, when they still have the old gas they paid less for before.

Here is the one that burns me. You can have a Citgo station across the street from a Sunoco. The Citgo will be newer, have gas at maybe a penny less per gallon. That is ONLY 20 CENTS for a twenty gallon purchase gang.... and they will be full of cars in line.

Does not everyone know that the Citgo stations are OWNED by Venezaila???
