Any comment or suggestions would be great!
-I would definately go to NYC to the WTC 9/11 memorial. There are also some other great places in NYC to see...if you decide to hit NYC let me know and I will give you a list of ideas!
If you are thinking about visiting the NJ shore there are good and bad ones...For you and your wife with no kids tagging along, I would suggest Long Beach Island or Cape May. What part of NJ are you staying in?
-Definately rent a car for New Jersey sites. If you go to NYC you won't want/need a car there! I can give you specifics on what trains to take by where you are staying.
-Armed or Unarmed...it all depends on the area. If you are staying in/around Newark then armed. Newark, East Orange, Irvington, Hillside, Elizabeth ...armed. If thats the area you are staying in. It's a pain in the *** flying with your weapon, at least from what some guys have told me. May or may not be true...I have not done it.
Let me know what area you will be staying in so I can help a bit more.

If you're flying into Newark Airport and staying in NY, you won't need a car. However, if you'll be spending most of your time in NJ, you definitely will.

The weather should still be nice enough for a visit to the Jersey shore.
