OK, maybe there's already been a thread like this, but what the heck.
What is the price of gasoline near you?
Has anyone actually seen the prices DROP?
Here in Rochester I believe we're up to $2.69/gallon, it jumped something crazy like 6 cents in a day...

I filled up yesterday. $2.43 a gallon. It was just $2.37 the other day. It took almost $40 to fill up my vehicle. I remember when $20 would do it.

$2.43? Wow.
A bank here recently was promoting its grand opening at a gas station by giving away $20 in free gas. Teens skipped school to fill up their cars. Traffic was backed up a LONG ways. The thing wasn't even advertised but the news spread like crazy. The Sheriff's Office ended up having to come for traffic and crowd control!

It was 2.53 here, and dropped to 2.51 today. Its still not enough though.

We can put a robot on Mars, fly shuttles into Space, etc but no genius can figure out a better fuel alternative than gasoline?

oil companies would not make a profit off it so the public will be screwed as usual.


relax projections are oil will be heading to 85-90 and a gallon of gas will soon hit 5.00 a gallon.


reality is americans will sit in their suvs and love it all the way to the bank.

if gas hits 7.00 a gallon they will still sit and take it as the oil companies sit back and laugh.


I would bet people will bitch but what are they gonna do?

you will find local goverments pullin more detroits however if fuel prices keep sky rocketing
we have already seen police and firefighters can get a layoff notice just like anyone else.

citizens can drive scooters and the cops can be put in chevy cobalts I suppose.

Is the OPEC crowd bleeding us or what? It frosts my *** that Bush doesn't even address this, sure there may not be much he can do but he can at least fake it that he gives a crap.
