Hey retired and stonie how do you feel about this?
Soldier's funeral interrupted by church-based protesters
WSMV-TV
A controversial church group is protesting at soldiers funerals around the country.
The Kansas-based church group believes American soldiers killed in Iraq are being punished by God for fighting for a country that allows homosexuals to live here.
Theyre vocally supportive of IEDs, or Improvised Explosive Devices, the tools rebels are using in Iraq to kill US troops.
Yes, the church group is praising the devices that are being used to kill American soldiers.
They took their protest to a funeral Friday for a Kentucky National Guardsman killed in Iraq. It happened in Bowling Green.
The guardsman was remembered as an exemplary soldier, a loving family member and a devoted soccer coach.
Specialist Michael Ray Hayes, of Morgantown, was laid to rest with full military honors after a funeral attended by more than 200 people, including Governor Ernie Fletcher at Hillvue Heights Church.
Hayes was a member of the 617th Military Police Company.
He was killed June 14 during a rocket-propelled grenade attack near Baghdad. The attack occurred while guardsmen provided security around a possible improvised explosive device.
Major General Donald Storm, Kentucky's adjutant general, says Hayes "epitomized what it means to be a citizen-soldier."
He was the sixth Kentucky guardsman to be killed serving in Iraq.
Hayes' comrades in the 617th included his brother, Specialist James Hayes, and his sister, Specialist Melissa Stewart. His siblings weren't with him during the attack.
I am at a lose for words, but if there I would not be at a lose for action.
