1. The time may come when a decision has to be made between either destroying ISIS, or protecting non-combatants: which is it going to be?
2. Get into the propaganda war: expose and officially ridicule ISIS. For example, have cartoonists mock ISIS on the White House website, every day.
But I'm afraid Obama is not serious about destroying ISIS. He is unwilling to examine, or even look at (much less name or ridicule) their motivation: this is because for Obama, Islam can never be questioned. Yet ISIS is motivated by Islam, as explained in this 8-minute video: http://youtu.be/AqNH0hDqVu4Last edited by Max K; 02-04-2015, 02:22 PM.

All kidding aside I think this administration has done precisely what it has wanted to do in how they have handled ISIS/ISIL/Al Quaida/Muslim Brotherhood/Spontaneous Demonstrators, etc ... they have provided them weapons on one side then blown them to bits with our armaments on the other side. It's a manufactured conflict with an unknown enemy. The WH doesn't want to call them terrorists because ... well YOU think about it .... how do YOU THINK YOUR DINNER GUESTS would react to being called terrorists when YOU are giving them the weapons to fight with AND releasing their shot callers from prison?
Call it what it is, the POTUS is a turd because he gets to live out an ideological fantasy, parade around like a king, doing and going wherever he wants, where money is no object.
ISIS IS NOTHING BUT A DECOY! Just my humble opinion!

While you guys and Beachcop are right that even the Islam that moderate Muslims follow is problematic because it requires Sharia Law......you can't forget that we now have King Abdullah and Egypt's Al-Sisi who've put their lives at risk by taking on ISIS.
And don't forget this brave Jordanian pilot was Muslim. The Jordanians were the first to sign up to our alliance....
2) How did that work out for Sadat?
3) I'll never forget it.....but POTUS never even considered it.....he doesn't give a ****!

King Abdullah has the right idea. He hung the two, including the nutbag gal right away. I'm getting the idea that these beheading and torture videos are like porn to these Islamofascists. They probably play them over and over. Sounds like the Jordanian King is working on a coalition to separate the Muslims from these radicals and draw a line in the sand. A real one by the sound of it, not the rhetorical ones we are getting used to.

Just watched the video. I'm so enraged. Those ISIS *********** deserve the same exact treatment only slower and even more painful. I'm so ******* off that the administration isn't taking aggressive action. ISIS just needs to be blown out of the freekin earth!!!! They won't stop there and if the white house doesn't stop them now it will hit an American and then what?! Obama is just a freekin weakling.
End of rant.Last edited by Meizele_15481; 02-04-2015, 09:38 AM.Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

First of all, there is no strategy. He's an appeaser, and lobbing a few bombs here and there is meant to fool those Americans who are gullible into believing he's not the WEAK rudderless idiot that he is. The little bit here and there is meant to stave of the claim from his critics that he's weak on national defense.
It's nothing more than a few political advisors telling him to "LOOK" tough. The problem is the enemy isn't fooled like many Americans are, and they take his weakness as one big fat a** green light.
Weakness invites aggression, period.
ISIS has gained even MORE territory in Syria since we started bombing. Our bombing "campaign" is just a photo op campaign and I'm disgusted with the Generals who won't resign to bring light to the fact it's just a photo op campaign.
And here's what most people don't understand about dropping bombs. We HAVE to have people on the ground who can guide our planes EXACTLY to the right spot. My second Air Force assignment was in a forward air control squadron where the pilots were trained to FAC from the air and from the ground. I've been in the back seat of our planes during exercises watching them do it firsthand.
In our high tech world that seems surprising to most people but it's just a fact.
Obama needs to commit special operators and others who can do that. That means we need to have boots on the ground.
For those who continue to say it's not our problem, ISIS increases their membership by roughly 1000 a month. These gruesome videos might turn off "normal people" but for those extreme elements that support the side with the most resolve, this serves as a huge recruitment tool. At some point, even those slow to pick up will finally get it....and I understand people's reluctance....but not from the Commander in Chief.

Are you saying that Sadat tried and it didn't work? If so, I'll tell you that I believe this is a watershed event.....a turning point....and social media has a lot to do with why this is different.....

I don't delude myself into thinking that Mitt Romney would have done much more about the situation. We need leadership; someone with a backbone, guts, gumption, balls if you will. This thing is not going away.
I can't help remembering Kevin Costner and Sean Connery's lines in The Untouchables:
Malone: You said you wanted to get Capone. Do you really wanna get him? You see what I'm saying is, what are you prepared to do?
Ness: Anything within the law.
Malone: And *then* what are you prepared to do? If you open the can on these worms you must be prepared to go all the way. Because they're not gonna give up the fight, until one of you is dead.
Ness: I want to get Capone! I don't know how to do it.
Malone: You wanna know how to get Capone? They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue. *That's* the *Chicago* way! And that's how you get Capone. Now do you want to do that? Are you ready to do that? I'm offering you a deal. Do you want this deal?
Ness: I have sworn to capture this man with all legal powers at my disposal and I will do so.
Malone: Well, the Lord hates a coward.“Truth is not what you want it to be; it is what it is, and you must bend to its power or live a lie.”

Can't wait for all the sleeper cells over here to be activated. Probably why Obama and the DOJ want to castrate the police so that when they start fighting, it'll be easier for them to take over. Stock up on your guns and ammo boys and girls - I fear that an internal fight is coming.Originally posted by RSGSRTWe've reached a point where natural selection doesn't have a chance in hell of keeping up with the procreation of imbeciles.

Wait until they release a video of that 26 year old female American hostage they have being burned alive. Then maybe this country will wake the hell up.
Nah, probably not. Much easier to worry about things like the psi in a football or the latest drug addled celebrity than something like this.He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High

Good people can quibble about how that can be accomplished...BUT...whatever the means, WIN!
Watershed event?? Although I'd characterize the same phrase for the moment I'll bet you and I see it differently.....
.........I see it as the first major strike at destabilizing Jordan (the solitary Rock of Gibraltar in the ME). You're a wise strategists.... What tactical advantage is given to ISIS if they turn northern Jordan into another battleground like Raqqa to Mosul is now?
