  • It worked! :)

It worked no trick or treaters last night.

Now that I’m on a roll, I may crank off a round in my
backyard Christmas Eve and tell the kids Santa committed suicide
    and no gifts.

When I saw the thread title, I thought this would be a thread about the virtues of Viagra.
I’ll die with blue in my veins.

My cousin's son was a heavy duty doper. He lived with his grandmother and turned her on to dope.

Many years ago I loaned my cousin a box of crime scene tape on Halloween. While her son was at work she taped the perimeter of grandma's house. When her son came home from work that night he found grandma's house taped up, thought the place had been raided for all his dope, that grandma had been taken to jail and that the cops were looking for him. (In the mean time, grandma was sound asleep inside.)

He hid out for several days before getting up the nerve to come home.

Not sure that it would work for Sanitizer. It certainly doesn't work for Iowa.

Then you don't want to watch the medical video on how they fix that

Sculptor, everyone chuckled except the patient who appeared scared stiff.

I guess the other (youtube) shoe will drop when you stumble across my post and sully’s response re- ER’s and shot glass extractions.

LOL, I was almost quietly... screaming and gritting my teeth when I saw the part where the syringe went in!
I'll have to stumble across the shot glass post then!

I get made fun of at the ER because I can't watch catheter insertions (is that the correct word for the procedure?). I watched intently as they removed a tree branch that impaled a woman's leg, but watching a catheter makes me weak in the knees.

You know that's funny, because I'm the same way, surgery doesn't bother me at all, I can watch medical videos on the web showing heart valve replacement and brain surgery while eating lunch, in fact I've had to assist my local veterinarian do emergency surgery on my dogs over the years which involved opening the stomach to let the pressure of the gastric dilitation volvulous (AKA "bloat") out that is common in large breeds, and I've held the suture thread and lamp for the vet etc., but I discovered I can't handle seeing that suture needle going in the skin!
Something about seeing that needle going in and coming back out with the thread I start feeling faint, sweating, vision starts filling in with dots.
I've had that at the dentist once, and I found I was gripping the arm rests so tight my hands hurt and I wasn't even aware of it because I was so tense.

I think a lot of that with me, possibly with you too, is the tendency to severely tense up, and when you do that you actually "forget" to breathe, if there's a next time you have to be around a catheter insertion try thinking about breathing and taking deep slow breaths and focus on relaxing, you might find it works to stop those symptoms!
