  • Where's Kasey Kasem?

So, where did Kasey Kasem disappear to? I feel sorry for the old guy. I used to be a huge fan of "The American Top 40". Does anyone even do that show anymore?

    He's been found in Washington.

Apparently, he has dementia which explains it. Maybe his family should hire an aid, or a person by some other title, to keep an eye on him.

According to the local coverage the family is battling over him like a bunch of vultures; his wife keeps relocating him, presumably to get him away from his children again. He's in his early 80s (yikes, was that really 40 years ago??), in advanced stages of Parkinson's and very confused.

Don't forget to laugh today. The more implausible it seems, the more you need to.

It's quite evident that there needs to be some sort of court order ensuring that he's being safely watched.

Here's the local coverage, link below for rest of article. Warning, this news station is pretty bad as to grossly misleading anti-cop slants to stories.
The so-called crime reporter is a buffoon who censors all minority descriptions out of police statements even when we're supposed to be looking for the violent suspect, and tries to turn every story into a News of the Weird item.

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. - Just days after a California judge ordered an investigation into the whereabouts of Casey Kasem, the missing radio legend was found in Washington state.

Kitsap County deputies say they found him alive and well in Port Orchard on Wednesday after police in California asked them to do a welfare check.

After talking with Kasem, deputies say the 82-year-old knew where he was and what his situation was and said that he was not in distress.

Kasem suffers from advanced Parkinson's disease, can no longer speak and has been in various medical facilities chosen by his wife, Jean Kasem.

The latest search for Kasem came after his daughters filed a missing persons report and persuaded a California judge to order a court investigator and adult protective services to find out where Kasem is being treated and report back to the court.

Now his daughters know their dad is here in Western Washington and safe for now.

"We are grateful to local authorities for finding my dad. We are one step closer to bringing him home," daughter Kerri Kasem said in a statement issued overnight.

On Tuesday, she accused her stepmother of not properly caring for her dad.

"We want to stop her from moving," Kerri Kasem said Tuesday. "We think she's moved him quite a few times, and this is terrible for his health. A man in his condition should not be continually moved. ... He's confused. He's probably very afraid and he's not getting proper medical care."

Glad they found him...Sad situation though, both his health, and the family fighting over him. He deserves true respect from them...the man's a legitimate Icon in every sense of the word.

Xm does it too... for the 70's and 80's. But not the 90's or 2000

So the daughters used law enforcement to give mom some sh*t for keeping him away from them and had the nation worried. Sounds like they're worried about getting in on some inheritance.

He knew where he is was and what his situation was? How could he even communicate that he knew that? He reportedly can't talk, and if he has Parkinson's, I doubt if he could hold a pen to write.

He probably didn't know where he was but the wife did and I believe she has full responsibility.
