  • What's up with the Hard Rock Cafe?

I've been noticing that any time I go to see a band play at the Hard Rock Cafe in Atlanta, there is hardly anyone there. And the bands were actually halfway decent! What really upset me was that some friends of mine were playing there a couple of weekends ago, and it was actually a fund-raiser, where you got a discount to come in if you brought in a canned good. Well, me and a couple of buddies were the first ones in the door, and we were actually 30 minutes late for when it was supposed to start. I was the only one with a can of soup. During the rest of the evening, 5 other people showed up, and not one of them had a canned good. OK, so the proceeds from the entrance fee went to the cause, but still.... They've already been obviously losing business. Couldn't they have done a better job of promoting this?

It's not exactly in the easiest spot to get to, and parking is hard to find in that area...

Is it the Hard Rock or that no one came out for your friends for a fund raiser?

Would you want to pay $7 for a draft beer? Nah

"Sooo, real cousin or play cousins ?"

            Their food sucks.
Why do we try so Hard for Little things, and so Little for Hard things?

The best bands are in the seedy little bars around the corner, in basements, or the near the old warehouse district (wherever you may be- it's pretty much universal).
Of course, I'm an old punk-type. Never much liked the "Hard Rock" corporate concept.

I guess you're right, but people usually take that in stride when they go out to have a good time.

Sure, I felt sorry for my friends, but like I mentioned, it has been dead anytime I go to the Hard Rock to see a band play in Atlanta. I don't think they'd have money to operate if it weren't for the food and the expensive T-shirts.
