If I wasn't working we would have this

A whole smoked Turkey. i sually get up in the middle of the night and start up the smoker to get the bird done in time. After brining it for 48 hours. O would throw some atomic buffalo turds on a couple hours before everyone shows up.

Wife makes homemade Pumpkin pie, green bean casserole, corn casserole and mashed taters.

Inlaws bring over a sweet potatoe pie, relish tray, candied yams and ham.

My parents bring Pecan pie a Sweet potatoe pie and cranberry sauce.

By the time its ready we usually have 15 to 20 people over every year.

I'm working again this year. So they are all getting together a couple of towns over.

I will get leftovers for work the next day though. And no smoked turkey.
The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.

Eh....make a small chicken or turkey and take it over to Grandma's house.

Neither of us are big eaters, so probably a small turkey/chicken and maybe some sweet mashed potatoes.

A smallish turkey (my dogs will be willing accomplices in the disposal of it's corpse).
Mashed p'taters with the skin on 'em OR German Knodels (dumplings).
          Brown gravy.
World class salad that takes a back seat to no one.
Pie of some kind, store bought to perfection.

            Ham
            Stuffing
            Deviled Eggs
            Mashed Potatoes and Gravy

I feel so sad, I won't be able to eat Thanksgiving dinner...unless it's blended (getting wisdom tooth extracted the day before((which happens to be my birthday)))..double whammy there.

PS: Outshined...I'm curious, what is scalloped corn?

Traditional Thanksgiving feast prepared by the Ritz Carlton since I'll be at work and they are kind enough to cater a turkey dinner for us.

Not sure what I will be doing. Looking at going to the Big Island for a long weekend after being in Japan for 2 weeks.... and going from there.....

Turkey and stuffing, mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, gravy, and pumpkin pie.

I'll be on duty and hopefully will get some interrupted time to eat. We bounce around on beat coverage to make sure everyone gets a chance to get home for dinner.

Could care less about all that Thanksgiving crap food....except for my wife's chicken dressing and whole berry cranberry sauce. She only makes it once a year, so it remains special.
I tried to duplicate it one year while she was at work with no success. She bans me from the kitchen while she is making it so it remains her secret.
