If they screw up this movie, may the Boondock Saints themselves extract vengeance.

Ha ha, they are making it here in the Detroit area. It makes for easy filming because the commies took over here a long time ago.

They're filming it by where I live and back at the beginning of August they put out a call for extras. Unfortunately I didn't hear about it until September, so I was too late. I was quite upset because I love that movie, and would have loved to be on the set of the filming.

Not only is Patrick Swayze dead, Charlie Sheen's a nutball 9/11 truther. The remaining original cast is a llittle too long in the tooth to be high-school kids turned resistance fighters.

The first Red Dawn is one of my all-time favorite films. I have no idea how they could recreate the 80's enthusiasm for the film, re done for a younger, 2010-ish, MTV-fed generation.

                      -------------------

                      ^^^ That's what I said first.

And then I saw this trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MeYCd...eature=related

My heart stirred (at 1:38) as I saw the mom scoop up and run with her child into the house. Then the (1:43) sight of a private citizen grabbing his deer rifle to meet the threat made my eye's get a little watery. Perhaps this film will cause a stir. Reminding us old guys, or teaching the kids that sometimes to be an American, you have to fight to remain free.

                        +1

I agree Kieth M. Remember thread about "Scariest Movies" Thinking about it, being 12 when this Movie came out, It scared the Hel_ out of me. In those times, thats all you heard about.

I try and explain to my children the "hiding under the desk drill" we use to do. We grew up with the fear of this happening. Knowing what I do now, I don't think the desk would have helped protect us from a Nuclear bomb. lol

I think my kids are paying attention between texting and Play-station. Probably not!

I doubt due to the time, that this movie will have the same affect on them. Unless we start posting on Myspace the Chinese may invade any day now. That may bring some sense of realism to it. ..sarcasm

Ha.. that would be truly awesome. You'd probably be in the concentration camp scenes.

They are old enough that they could play the mayor or parents....

This was the first movie I saw after graduating basic training. I loved it....What made it good was it was possible. Economic collapse, and the ruse to enter airspace was all possible, not probable, but it was possible.

He would play the part of the mayor or the Cabun army officer.
