How do you recognize the difference between a police officer from Germany, USA and Australia?

Situation:
Your are walking with your wife and your two lovely children through a dark and emty road. Suddenly an dangerous looking guy with a long knife appears to you, looking at you with sharp and evil eyes, and begins to call you vuglar profanitys.
Then he draw his knife, runs towards you.
You are bearing your 9mm police gun and you are an excellent shooter. You still have some seconds left until he reaches you and your family?

How do you react?

The German Police Officer:
(Analysis)
- could his knive be a cultural expression an a ritual item?
- does he prefer to be adressed in german, english or in any other language?
- will my reacation have any influence to my next promotion
- is his acting, his way to express, that he pay my income with his taxes and that he would have my job?
- will media profiling his former life and will come to the result, that everybody loves him, even his dog?
- is he a member of a street gang, which does not be really understood by the community?
- is he a shortly immigrand person, who still don't know how to come up to the police?
- maybe he was a released prisoner who wasn't prepraed enough to his reintgration the the community
- will my reaction be seen as an expression of racism so I will loose my job?
- is he a victim of alcohol and does not understand what he does?

So I will kindly request him - If I still have the time- to lay his weapon on the ground, while he runs towards me.

Good to see that you can have a laugh at the politically correct restraints that are placed on some of us. I don't know about the other Australian States, but we're trained to shoot to remove the threat. If that means we fire a few off, we do so until the threat is removed. Besides, if someone is stupid enough to bring a knife to a gun fight, they deserve the consequences.
