Situation: You fart in a crowded elevator or small room with about ten other suspects. You release a putrid dose of foulness - eye watering and quite odiferous. Do you claim it? Hmmmmm?

I can't claim or deny. I'm the only one laughing so hard that I can't breath so they usually figure it out pretty fast. Occasionally if its particularly good I will spin around to get the crop dust effect.

What's fun is (when you can't make a real one at the moment that is) making a convincing fart sound during that awkward moment of silence and watch everyone waiting for the "result" of that "sound effect". My friend will do that and then back away from the oldest person in there and just stare.Support bacteria. They're the only culture some people have.Comment

It's actually hilarious when someone else farts, You giggle and say it was you and THEN they try and tell everyone it was them after initially denying it.

There are some at my work who have developed a rating system. Points awarded based on Decibal level, resonance, olfactory response and hang time.
Another question arises...If your in a hallway ( no to low airflow ) and happen to leave a free floating drifter when no one is around, do you still have to claim it ?Comment

This profession is not for people looking for positive reinforcement from the public. Very often it can be a thankless job and you can't desire accolades, because those are not usually forthcoming. Just do your job to the best of your ability and live with the decisions you've made.Comment
