I am no computer genius.

I posted in this forum because of all the eyes....

I want to buy a package, I don't want a bunch of freeware stuff because of conflicts.

The price is not that important, But I'm no millionaire...

I didn't like norton and don't want it.

I was thinking on panda Pro. for about $50.00...

Peeps, please help the old man here....

I had to look it up, never heard of Panda Pro. Also, I assume you use a PC? at home I use a Mac so I have no anti-virus software. At work I use a PC and use the free edition of AVG. It's small, fast and updates regularly. It doesn't appear to hamper system resources at all.

I'm running the 64 bit laptop vista, windows platform.. Yes Macs OS is much better IMO anyways....But anywho...
I used AVG along with register mechanic a few years back.... but it was windows 98 ......

Yea Jasper, your running the basic AVG package, the full package is 49.95.....

Well, I guess i'll start the dirty work and look at the details of operation for both.....I'm more interested in speed rather than space and conflicts...

I hate this stuff, It's a pain in the butt..... But necessary...

Yea I noticed that... Mostly harmless Executions... but yea, it lets you know alright.....

I did destroy a few I quarantined,when I cherry picked my way through them after I had a handfull....

Are you talking for like more executive, on many computers or for private use?

I have one that runs audio only after closing down ALL applications except my desk top icons.... It happens on a very large data sharing site....

But I got it about cornered, panda missed it....

But next time its head is gonna get lopped off....

Use Malewarebytes for scanning and deletion. Not sure about active scans, as I've never really needed one on my personal comp.

I use Windows Live OneCare. It is $50, does not slow down my system at all, uses few resources, free customer assistance if needed, and will network all of your computers that have the program so you can print off just 1 printer. I love it! And you can install it on up to 3 machines for the $50 a year.

Sully you scared me for a second, I noticed the title HELP and I thought you or trigger was in some serious juju (frank don’t like when we say shi t) but it’s just about your computer, sorry can’t much help there I use Norton I get it for free through work so that’s what I use.

The "digital goddess" Kim Komando recommends and uses AVG for all her computers. When I bought my new machine ------I downloaded the free version and use it with no problems.

I would have no problem buying it-----------I find that it is more user friendly and has less conflicts than Norton (which I have used and paid for with the last 3 computers I have owned)
