  • Does anyone here race cars with SCCA/NASA?

My brother and I just got our miata's caged, and are a big step closer to getting on the track.

We'll being doing the Spec Miata class with NASA in the N. CA region.

I've done countless NASA HPDE events, not licensed competition racing. From what I've seen, SCCA events are more professionally run than NASA. NASA does hold a lot more events though, and seems to have more tracks and classes to choose from in NorCal. You'll have a blast. If you're serious, give Tony a call at TC Design. He's a former pro racer who specializes in fabrication and racecar engineering/setup. He'll let you know all about Spec Miata. http://www.tcdesignfab.com/

SMALL world. I think that's where we got the cages installed.

I'm deferring to my brother for all the tech stuff and set up. Right now we've only done autocross at a local airport, but at least now, on flate pavement the car is balanced.

I did SCCA autox events a few times in my old rx7. There a ton of fun.

The cars are tech'd and loaded in the trailer. Hope to have pics up after the event.
