565 Cali Penal Code; Unlawful possession of milk containers.

Don't lie on your marriage certificate either:

    528. Every person who falsely personates another, and in such
assumed character marries or pretends to marry, or to sustain the
marriage relation towards another, with or without the connivance of
such other, is guilty of a felony.

I used to work Catalina Island. There is an interesting Cali. Vehicle Code section that allows the City of Avalon to restrict the vehicles on it's streets. Without being so bold about it the state only authorized one particular city to do it.

21100.5. Notwithstanding any other provisions of law, local
authorities of any city which is on a natural island with an area in
excess of 20,000 acres and which is within a county having a
population in excess of 4,000,000, may, if they determine such rules
and regulations to be necessary in view of the special problem
existing thereon with respect to the size and nature of the streets
of the city and with respect to the characteristics and nature of the
city itself, adopt rules and regulations by ordinance or resolution
    on the following matters:
    (a) Regulating the size of vehicles used on streets under their
    jurisdiction.
    (b) Regulating the number of vehicles permitted on streets under
    their jurisdiction.
    (c) Prohibiting the operation, on streets under their
jurisdiction, of designated classes of vehicles.
    (d) Establishing noise limits, which are different from those
prescribed by this code, for vehicles operated on streets under their
jurisdiction and prohibiting the operation of vehicles which exceed
    such limits.
    (e) Establishing a maximum speed limit lower than that which the
local authority otherwise permitted by this code to establish.

I seldom see the logic in a bunch of politicans passing so many laws every year when there are already so many on the books that are not enforced. Many laws are merely extensions of already existing laws in place and a waste of time and money. What needs to happen is instead of passing laws that are add-on's to existing laws we need to merely enforce the ones that exist and that includes liberal judges who stick their noses up in laws they do not believe in and running their bench like a dictatorship vs doing their jobs.

Common sense is an oxymoron. After 13 years on the job I've determined that the one thing sense is not is common.

Frankfort, Kentucky, makes it against the law to shoot off a policeman's tie.

A Kentucky statute says: "No female shall appear in a bathing suit on any highway within this state unless she is escorted by at least two officers or unless she be armed with a club." Later, an amendment proposed: "The provisions of this statute shall not apply to any female weighing less than sixty pounds nor exceeding 200 pounds; nor shall it apply to female horses."
