      Forgive me. but I believe that if they were really operating under the color of official UN authority, throwing acid wound not be within their use of force continuum.

      And if the Japanese were really harvesting whales in violation of international law, this would be addressed in the courts and not as is done by the Sea Shepherd.

      As a side issue, when you go to the Whale Wars website, they have links you can click on that supposedly answer the tough questions like, "By what authority can the International Whaling Commission declare a moratorium on whaling?" and "By what authority is Japan allowed to conduct scientific whaling? " But when you click on those links, they never answer the questions and instead send you to web pages on the history of whaling.

      I would suggest that the term "eco-terrorists with a TV crew" better describes this group.

          Oh yeah!? Well I declare a moritorium on interfering with whalers. How do ya like them apples?

          I have the same legal authority as the UN, but a vastly smaller budget.

                Aren't these the same type of people that set fire to a mink farm to "liberate"them?All the animals died, and firefighters lives were at risk... Same theme.
