This is my friend's dog that I want to 'dognap'.

I take it a dog nap is not the same as a dirt nap... I seen BBB post she wanted to do the same and I finally got it... Ha... I thought the dog barked all the time or something and you wanted to give it a dirt nap.

It was taken from the restaurant at Goulding's Trading Post just north of the Az / Ut state line, looking north east towards "the Mitten" and other parts of Monument Valley. We had seen clear skies, then a sand storm, then rain, then hail, then this wet valley remained as the sun started making long shadows ... all in just a few short hours that afternoon.

It has a long and interesting history all it's own.

Those summer monsoon storms are amazing, especially if you are watching them from a distance. They can be pretty scary if you are caught in one. I was caught in one while fishing a little farther south on the Apache Reservation one time. The mud was up to the axles of the 4X4 in less than 10 minutes. We weren't sure we were going to get out of there.

Sorry eclipse... I haven't been on muc and didn't see your post. He's a German Shepard... 70lb lap dog. lol He was a seeing eye reject... this is my friend's second dog from them and the 1st one was a great dog too.
