24 Retired General Officers just left the stage endorsing Barack Obama. So to all you republicans that have this notion that Democrats dont care about national security or defense what do you say? Also the first African American female Command Sergeant Major endorsed him as well.

I hate it when republicans say Democrats dont care about their country. I am a Democrat and have served my country for 20 years.

Do you endorse Obama and his kumbiyah ways? I don't say democrats don't care about their country, I say, Hillary, Obama and ALMOST any modern day democrat that's in office, and the ones who have voted for them. Such as people who voted for Nancy Pelosi, and what she says.

I am sorry it isnt that I don't support democrats cause I do if hillary were in there or anyone else that was not raised the way obama was and someone who salutes the flag and believes in the american way then yeah but from what I have seen we are trying to put someone into office that will ruin this country I mean my god you are running for president salute the freaking flag. A few thoughts come to mind...

Gee, retired generals endorsing a candidate. Yes, they may think he's the right guy for the job. Then, too, they might also have ideas on a new job to supplement their retirement income with.

I heard a retired general, a dem endorsing Obama, interviewed today on Dennis Prager's show. As I recall, he viewed the surge as working, that Carter's and Clinton's cuts hurt the military, and other (what might be considered) conservative viewpoints. He's free to endorse Obama, like the others are free to endorse McCain.

My police union always endorsed candidates based upon labor issues, not law and order issues. Many cops left the union when they endorsed Jerry 'Moonbeam' Brown for that reason. Perhaps there's a parallel?

When I managed to stay awake in my logic class, in college 30 years ago, I learned that one of the tenants of improper logic was called, "false authority." The teacher always illustrated false authority with the phrase, "Einstein smokes Lucky's" Meaning that someone who stands out in one field, is not always qualified to speak on matters outside his/her regular "box". You and your 24 retired generals may have good reasons to support the Dali-Obama...but that has no influence upon me.

And let me ask you this....in 30 years of big city police work, I found many command officers to be total idiots and fools, promoted because they kissed lots of brass....did you do 20 in the military and ever walk away from some idiot (wearing stars or eagles on his/her collar) asking yourself, "How did they promote that tool?" If it never happened, you're indeed a lucky soul.

All those nice vehicles and weapon systems, you can thank a republican for those. I remember during the late 70s when the Abrams (not talking about the York) was being developed the democrats kept saying we didn't need a new tank and it was junk. The democrats have never seen a new weapon system that they liked to fund, unless they could claim credit for jobs it provided in their congressional district.
