I have to do a few hours of community service to get credit for a class I'm taking. The local hospitals aren't exactly places I would want to volunteer at, the nearest VA hospital is more than an hour away, and I'm terrible with little kids. Anyone have any ideas?

If you have a local fairground they are always in need of help and usually have a volunteer program. Because fairgrounds host all sorts of events throughout the year, the work usually turns out to be fun.
Most fairgrounds are government owned, with their mission being to teach agriculture, promote commerce and provide entertainment for the community, so they should meet the criteria for community service.Last edited by L-1; 08-24-2008, 12:54 PM.Going too far is half the pleasure of not getting anywhere
