My wife is currently active duty military and I was picked up by the Secret Service, Uniformed Division, while she was stationed in Maryland for the last couple years.
We own a home in San Diego and when she retires we are thinking about moving back because of my wife's disability rating from the VA, it is very likely she will not be able to work. With that said, moving back home would actually be cheaper for us to live and we miss home as we have lived there since the mid 90's and the East Coast weather isn't condusive to our lifestyle as she has horses and we miss camping in the desert like crazy.
My question is, do Sheriffs agencies, both San Diego and Riverside take FLETC and Secret Service certifications for the substitution of a POST cert? I have looked and I can't find anything on either of their websites and haven't found anything on the CA POST website either.
Thanks for any advice and help.
