Federal agent dies after Fla. post office shooting
PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. (AP) Authorities say a federal agent died after he was shot outside a South Florida post office. The shooter is on the run.
Pembroke Pines police spokesman Sgt. Brian Davis says the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent died at Memorial Regional Hospital in suburban Fort Lauderdale. His name was not released.
Davis says the agent was shot by a man during some sort of fight Tuesday morning in the parking lot. The suspect fired at least one shot, striking the agent. The gunman then took off.
No one else was injured.
Police and paramedics surrounded the building. Investigators are interviewing postal employees, customers and other potential witnesses.

Another thing, he was in public service for his whole life, he was in the army for 20 years from when he was 17, he was a CI for the FDA for about 15 years and then transferred to CBP.
