Pc Jon Henry was stabbed to death at 07:15 hrs today, he was 36yrs old and had been in the job 3 years.
According to Sky News he attended the scene of a reported robbery in a shopping area and was defending a member of the public who had already been stabbed.
1 male arrested for murder and attempted murder

Further details released today, Pc Henry was stabbed twice in the chest (through his ballistic vest) he is survived by his wife and 11 month old daughter.Very sad he had just seen her take her first steps.

Suspect was taken down with a baton round and tazer.

You also have to admire the restraint of his colleagues who took the suspect down. Despite the fact that they would have been aware that the suspect had already stabbed three people, they employed taser and PBR's as opposed to putting a 5.56mm round through his head.
