  • Lt. Rob Curry of the Gulfport P.D. Killed

Lt. Rob Curry of the Gulfport Police Department was killed in a motorcycle accident today. Rob was a wonderful officer and a great friend. He was on motor duty when the accident occurred. He is survived by his wife and children.

I served six years with Rob on the Gulfport Police Department and he was one of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet.

Rest in Peace Brother. You will be missed.

I served with Rob for 5 years, and I can honestly say that he was a stand up officer who you could depend on.

My thoughts are with his wife and children.

All of us on the Gulf Coast are deeply saddened by this. It has been the talk of the station for days now. Rest in peace, Rob. All of our prayers are out for you.

It looks like the city is going to name our new station after Lt. Curry.
