Hello! Let me say "Thanks!" right away for all the information here. I've stopped by this forum off and on for the past half-year to find out about LE, and you folks have carried together some great content.
I'm originally from Berlin, Germany, but have studied in the U.S. (high school in Indiana and college in Chicago) for the last eight years. Now I'm 24 and starting a Masters in Computer Science. About half a year ago, I discovered my interest in law enforcement, and it's been growing ever since. I'm very set on the idea of applying for the job when the first chance rolls around and school is done, and hope to keep finding out about the field here.
I'm going to post the question in the "Ask a Cop" forum as well, but I'm wondering if there are any Chicago PD officers out here who might know how I can get an insight into the CPD and its officers' work?
