Newbie from Virginia, USA

Hello to everyone out there in Officer.com land. I am a Sergeant with the PD in Richmond, VA. I have been with the Department since July 1, 1968 (37+ years). I started at the age of 19 as a Police Cadet. Among other things, I am also an avid collector of law enforcement memorabilia, such as patches and anything else I can get.

I will not be a regular poster to any of the forums, as I am constantly on the go. But, I will be checking in from time to time. Hope to learn some new stuff here and make a lot of new friends.

Anyway ................ a 37 year Vet and still constantly on the go !!!
You need and deserve a right good rest but hey, if you're still enjoying the Job, then why not.

Virginia newbie

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. Unfortunately, I will not be a regular. But, I will be chimming in every once in a while. To dren, when you get to the VSP Academy, I only live a few miles from there. So, if you get a break and they let you off campus, I would be glad to have a cup of coffee with you. We could even go by Richmond's FOP Lodge of a cold one.
