Hey all,
I've been lurking here for quite some time now and finally have been given posting privileges. I got the call a few weeks ago for NYS Corrections and will be attending the academy starting this Sunday. I am beyond excited.
I graduated college 5 years ago and have been trying to become involved with law enforcement ever since. It seems like I graduated at the worst time possible as many hiring freezes and exams started during my Junior year. My time has finally come.
I hope I can come back here in eight weeks and post as a "new jack" as they're called.
