Hello all,

This is my first post in your neat little niche community. I stumbled across this forum while looking for an article and it looked intriguing so I thought I would join and see what I can offer/learn. I come from a law enforcement family, both parents were LEO's at one time and my father still is. My experience in law enforcement is relatively minute but it has given me some great fundamentals. I am a former LA county lifeguard and currently the senior cadet in a small southern California PD. My PD is currently on a hiring freeze for sworn positions so I am applying elsewhere (Am in backgrounds with 3 different places). I have my degree in English and a minor in sociology. My favorite aspect of the field thus far is report writing and the friendship that comes along with being part of the "team."
