I am 41 years old and trying to get "real fit" again after a somewhat slack period.
My question is this : What kind of regular exercise do you older cops do?(OK, let's see, we'll define "older" as being between 35-55 *but* I would also love to hear from anyone out there in the 55-65 bracket!).
I'm trying to run at least 3 km everyday (or 5-6 km every second day) as well as lift soem weights. My run times are sssllloooowwww for now. But that's O.K.
Any MOTIVATIONAL tips, any little "secrets" that you might wish to share?
My current motivational "tool" is the USMC gem : "Pain is just weakness leaving your body". I like that.
