Sad but true...

All I can say is this is the case heard over and over again. You never seem to see a officer of the law when you need one but at the same tolken you are always upset when one catches you doing something your not supposed to. I can not count the times I have been told I needed to be out looking for the real criminals and not wasting tax payer monies by writing a ticket. Well they did wrong they got the fine. Just my thoughts on it.

Well, I must be an odd case, but the cops were around TWICE when I needed them (without being called). Once I was on foot and lost and traumatized in the middle of the night (don't ask) in an awful neighborhood in a city miles from my home, and as I stood shaking and sobbing on a dark street corner, I looked down the street and saw a police car (staking out a drug house). I approached them and as soon as they determined I had not come out of the dope house, they helped reunited me with my rightful owners.

Then there was the time when I was assaulted in broad daylight on a busy street corner in Downtown Detroit. The police had the guy in the back of their squad car before I had time to call them for help. They had been right around the corner and about a dozen people had alerted them to what was happening.

There's probably been a lot of other time too, but those are the two most dramatic, so anyway, I don't buy that "Where's a cop when need one" bit.
