  • Movies that make you go brrrrrrrrrrr!

Since we seem to be getting our share of snow storms this year. How about a list of movies to rent while you ride out the next storm.

The Thing (from another planet) original version

The Thing (Kurt Russel, John Carpenter version)
    make it a double header!

Ice Station Zebra - especially the scene where the torpedo room floods and everyone is chest deep in that Arctic water.

Where Eagles Dare--one of my personal favorites, I give it four Irish Coffees! Out of a posible four.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service- OK not the best Bond movie but great ski scenes and the cable car sequence.

    Death Hunt

Anybody else have favorites to add to the list?

How about something hot, instead? Like:

9 1/2 Weeks(I always wanted to dance to "You Can Leave your Hat On")

Basic Instinct (Sharon Stone is the TRUE Goddess)

Against All Odds (reminds me of hot nights in Mexico)

        Stephen King's "The Storm"

Isn't that the one that they kept singing the
"I'm a Little Teapot" song? Creepy!

I have to say, though, my favorite by him was Salem's Lot. That scene where you can hear the rocking chair in the room upstairs, and when they door is open, all that can be seen is the eyes of the vampire glowing in the dark... [Eek!]

Anything with George Clooney in it [Wink]

I loved Storm of the Century. It was a little slow throughout the middle but the ending was so dramatic and unexpected.

I'm planning on renting a bunch of film noirs this weekend and hibernating inside. (I'm taking a film noir class at school.)

                            War Dogs: America's Forgotten Heroes

It is horrible how the American Military abandoned so many dogs like pieces of surplus equipment when we pulled out of Vietnam.
"The soldier above all other people prays for peace, for he
must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war"
