  • Who likes the casino?

I played in my first poker tournament last Friday. The only reason I played is because it was free for the first $200 chips, after that it was $15 buy-ins. I made it to the fourth round and it was my first time ever playing with people. They do Texas Hold 'em tournaments every Friday so I learned how to play on my computer and by watching the World Poker Tournament on the Travel Channel. I didn't win anything but it sure was fun. I think this could be my game with practice and if I can learn how to read people. I like Blackjack but I'm too slow at it. Craps is fun and I can win quite a bit of money but my bank dips up and down too much and it gives me a heart attack! What are you guys' fave casino games?? Have any of you won any jackpots or tournaments?

I haven't been in a casino for a couple years, but I like 21 and craps. In craps, I only play the come line and maybe one pass line bet. Never play any single roll or other inside bets. They are for suckers. Next time I go, I'll try playing Don't Pass - better odds.

I got Hoyle Casino and practiced before our last trip to Tahoe. It helped. It's almost as fun as a real casino, maybe more so since I don't have to breathe smoke and listen to drunks. No buffet, though.

Got a few casinos here in Okie-land. Mostly slots and a few game tables like 21. Even poker but that's not supposed to exist here.

      The slots are fun.

I had worked in a casino for about 3 months. That is the most boring job on earth. I learned how to sleep, standing up.

I haven't put any money in a machine in a few years. When I worked on the Rez, I stopped at the casino nightly to drink a cup of coffee and get out of the squad.

Really? even with getting tips it was boring?

I worked security. The only tip that we got was "don't eat yellow snow."

I enjoy the casinos. We hit Laughlin a few times a year and Vegas once in a while. And once in a while, the Indian casinos in Prescott or the Phoenix area.

I love going to the casinos in Atlantic City when I'm there, but the chronic smokers make it horrible for me. They have no consideration whatsoever for the people who need, want, and enjoy oxygen. -

I mainly like to go because I like the sounds, lights, etc. I'm not into gambling at all. When hubby and I were in Atlantic City back in March I never spent one dime in the casinos. Once in a blue moon I'll head up to Nickel Heaven at The Tropicana and spend a couple dollars on the nickel machines, but that's about it.
