I don't know if there is hope for me or not. It may already be too late. I may have to die to stop opining around here.

Hey...at least you HAVE an opinion and know where you stand on it.
Lots of folks dont know enough about anything to even debate about it.
Dont feel bad about where you stand on the issues, its the liberazi segment that would tell you that you are resistant to change and all of that crap just because they dont agree with them.
Speak on !

Mike, ain't nuthin' wrong with you havin' yer opinion. Shoot, I even agree with a lot of them.
OTOH ain't nuthin' wrong with Crazy or Retired havin' opinions either. Even tho I DON'T agree with most of 'em.
But the thing is, I'd be willin' to bet that both Crazy and Retired are NATIVE CALIFORNIANS whereas, I, a Colorado boy, happened to transplant to California just long enough to retire with a decent pension, then beat feet the hell outa there!
Edit: I know that Crazy doesn't live in Cali NOW, but if he wasn't born there, then I'd bet that at least ONE of his parents (assuming of course that he HAS any) was born there! Probably somewhere in the Berzerkeley area!

Mike, nothing wrong with having an opinion. I'd rather talk to an opinionated person than one who has none at all.
I guess I'm still too new around here to know exactly how far opinions are tolerated. Once I expressed an opinion and the whole thread was locked. To this day I still don't know what I said that was so wrong.
At any rate, if you've gone 5000 posts without being banned, I guess you know the answer to my question.

And no, I am not a native Californian. I am orginally from the "show me" state of Missouri, you know, the home of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.
Actually I don't thnk you and I disagree on that much. The war yes, but not much of anything else.Retired

First off, you put "retired" way way waaaay too close to "crazy." I don't even want to think of drawing a pension for another thirty years!
Nope, I'm Maryland, born and raised. My mom's family has been in Pennyslvannia (and spread out to New York and Connecticut) since they came over, and my Dad's has been centered in Princess Ann, Maryland since my great-grandfather was advised to move here to combat his allergies ().
I've been in California once - and that was over ten years ago, and only for a week. I think the only member of my family who spent any time of significance in Cali was my dad -- when he was in the army, studying French at the Presidio (but he spent two years in Indochina after that, probably clearing out any of the "bad" influences).
