Does anyone know the current process to be hired as a detention officer or a sheriff deputy cadet for the Harris county sheriffs office in Houston TX? For the hiring process for the cadet it says "may require a polygraph" are they not doing polys now? for the detention officer a poly is not even required. Is it easier to apply for the detention officer and then once in the department do an internal application for the cadet position?
