I was just wondering if anyone would be able to give me some insight on if my previous disqualification from the PSP selection process would hinder future applications with them? In 2019 I made all the way to the background portion of the process and in December recieved an email that I was disqualified for falsification of applicant package. The only issues the background investigator found were jobs i did not list in the 2019 packet that I had previously listed in previous years applications.

You’ll need to provide more details for real help, but it sounds like the BI found info about jobs that you chose to omit for reasons unshared, correct?
BIs have the ability to dig up and find most Anything that’s been documented.
What did you omit and why?

So you didn’t even bother to look at your previous application and tell them the same thing the second time you told them the first time?
Jeebus, dude…. Did you turn the computer on yourself today, or did somebody help you?

Unfortunately, IMO, you will probably never be hired by PSP. You can try for a municipal department or paying for your act 120.
-
Wait, I missed this part. Does your current department know you lied on your PSP application?
-
OK, so you listed jobs on one personal history statement, then you left them off a second PHS while signing the statement at the end attesting that it was accurate.
As far as anyone is concerned, you falsified the second PHS. As others have said, that's the kiss of death in this profession.Going too far is half the pleasure of not getting anywhere

You’ll take what you’re given or you can look for help elsewhere.
Insight: Nobody can help you if we can’t read what you write.
You lied on your application, you’ll likely be a DQ with PSP and anyone who checks with them. BIs email each other lists: have any of these people ever applied with you, do you have any cases with them, etc.
Advice: Look into other careers.
I heard McD’s pays well.Last edited by tanksoldier; 05-05-2022, 08:22 PM.

Lol. The SPH I filled out when I got hired by the Portland Police Bureau in 1991, is the same information I'd put on an application for a job today...if I actually needed a job, which I don't, because I retired honorably from a law-enforcement career spanning 30 years, so now I have a big fat tax-free government retirement pension and free medical for life, because I do not suffer from the same integrity problems that you do.

If it was the truth, how could you forget it? People forget what lie they told, and to who, not the truth.Last edited by tanksoldier; 05-05-2022, 08:22 PM.

As my brother CCCSD has already pointed out, your attitude would have prevented you from getting hired in law enforcement anyway.
And as my brother tanksoldier has already pointed out, you don't get to choose our responses to your posts.
But hey, the world needs ditch diggers...
