I got my call-up from the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice. I begin phase 1 of my Detention Officer training July 23rd

2 months of on-site and academy training then I get sworn in and work with little monsters

Yeah I can't wait to hear all the new nifty terms and slang that's used nowadays. In between looking the phrases up on Wikipedia and watching to make sure the little brats don't shank me in the back, I'm pretty sure it'll be a fun job

I was there a few weeks ago on a trip with my Criminal Justice Student Club. Pretty well behaved group of kids from what I saw. LOL...best of luck!
