    Just wondering if anyone else saw this story.

    And I thought the 5,000 I was up against trying to get into the Colorado State Patrol was rough...and at least my exam was free!

        $25,000 for a NYPD rook? Unfrickingbelievable!

        How can you live on that in NYC, it's barely a livable wage in rural GA or TN.

                hah there was an article in may i believe where a current NYPD officer has to file for assistance cause his wife left work on disability and he can't survive being the only supporter in the household with 2 kids. something like he was selling everything in his house like his TV and couch and all just to get by month by month...very sad
