  • Dept. Of Energy Motor Vehicle Operator Washington DC

Its not a LEO job that I can tell.
In the description it says you are responsible for the safety and well being of the passenger(s) ..which includes Rick Perry. :O
So im wondering if its an armed position? Even though they don't mention it in the USAJOBS announcement?
Anyone know anyone who has done this job?

Sounds like a parking area bus driver job.

id say based on the description, that its not that. hahah. besides, the DOE parking area is under the building, guarded by hydrolic barriers. no room for buses.

VA Police have powers of arrest and are armed. They are LE.

Why would a bus driver need to be armed? Really..?

Too bad their retirement doesnt reflect that.

Good point. And at 28 an hr, i guess not being armed wont be THAT big a deal. Some of y'all really fixated on this whole "bus driver"
thing, huh? Ill be sure to let you know if, indeed, is a bus driver job.

IF I'm not mistaken. A vast majority of uniformed 0083 series Fed LE officers are not in 6c retirement. Off the top of my head I can only think of USSS US, Capitol Police, Supreme Court Police and maybe Park Police are 6c retirement. CBPOs and Border Patrol are 6c.. But that doesn't mean that all the DOD 0083s and others are not law enforcement. On the local level. Some university police just have regular state employee retirement. Doesn't mean they are law enforcement.
